The walnut wood Jali wall panel is a stunning example of intricate craftsmanship, inspired by the Jali-protected buildings of Murad Khani, a historic district in Kabul. This modern interpretation of the traditional Jali screen reflects the artistry honed over generations by skilled artisans who have perfected the art of crafting perforated wooden panels. These elegant lattice walls, found in both Hindu and Islamic architecture, were originally designed as window coverings, room dividers, and balcony railings. Our hand-carved Jali wall panel, crafted from walnut, a tree native to Kunar province, beautifully blends tradition with contemporary design, adding a unique and refined touch to any space. The panel’s delicate patterns and meticulous details are a testament to the cultural heritage and artistry that remain alive in this exquisite craft. Craftsmanship: Jali wood wall panel

Craftsmanship
This masterpiece was crafted by Afghan artisans whose skill and dedication are truly remarkable, despite enormous challenges. Since the Taliban seized power in August 2021, we have implemented measures to ensure the safety of our partners by withholding identifying information. While some artisans have relocated, many remain in Afghanistan, where their craft provides a vital source of income amidst economic and humanitarian hardship. Supporting their work is more crucial than ever.
